Free environmentally friendly energy
You can use modern technology, catching the sun’s rays or tapping into the earth’s warmth, to cut your heating bills.
You may be eligible for a grant to install a range of technologies that use environmentally-friendly renewable energy sources to provide heating. These technologies will reduce your need for gas or electricity, cutting your heating bills.
These measures may be FREE to households who meet the eligibility criteria:
- You have savings of less than £20,000
- Your home is already insulated (where possible)
- Your home is suitable e.g. it is not north-facing
- You are spending more than 10% of your income on energy bills
If you are unsure whether you spend 10% or more of your income on energy bills, you can check by
downloading the assessment form by clicking here, or call our freephone number to
arrange for someone to talk you through it.
For all applicants, an assessment will be made of the amount of household income spent on energy. Those in greatest need will be given preference. All other households will be able to take advantage of significant discounts.
